Taylor Swift reveals backstage injury after fans notice hand wound: ‘Totally fine’

She’s just shaking it off.

Taylor Swift ᴀsserts that she’s “totally fine” after fans noticed the singer performing with an open wound during her show in Houston, Texas, Sunday night.

“PS for those asking how I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was my fault completely,” the “Anti-Hero” songstress, 33, wrote via Twitter Monday alongside pH๏τos of her on stage.

Taylor Swift took a tumble backstage during one of her Texas shows — and fans were quick to notice a brutal gash on the singers left hand.

Quick to console her fan base, Swift — who is a month into her Eras Tour — went on to explain that she tripped on her dress hem and “fell in the dark backstage” while changing, bracing the fall “with her palm.”

While it is unclear which dress hem is the culprit, one of the three pH๏τos Swift included in the post features a white, flowy floor-length gown that looks less-than-easy to navigate while changing in the dark.

“It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded. Don’t worry about me I’m gooooood   ,” she quipped, making an astrological reference popularly foretold to bring different types of misfortune.

Swift also didn’t seem too phased by the gash in a video that’s gone viral on TikTok, in which the songstress could be seen giving it her all on stage despite attempting multiple ways to bandage the wound.

The Grammy-winning artist consoled her worried fans on Twitter, ensuring that she is “totally fine” after the spill.

The Grammy winner — who called it quits with Joe Alwyn in early April after dating for six years — made sure to give a positive spin despite her tumble, calling the three-night stint in Houston “insane.”

“I’m waking up smiling reminiscing about how much fun we all had,” she wrote.

She’s currently on her months-long Eras Tour.

Swift, who added that she “seriously can’t wait” for her next tour stop in Atlanta, Ga., also gushed over her fan base, writing, “Loving this tour so much because of the pᴀssion these crowds put into it all.”

One Twitter user applauded Swift’s resilience, writing, “Men cancelling [sic] their shows because they hit their toe in the edge of the bed while Taylor Swift performes [sic] a 3 hour show with half of her hand missing.”

“Your mental and physical strength is truly inspiring. Thank you for ᴀssuring us you’re okay,” another user wrote, commending the singer for continuing to perform.

As previously reported, Swift has been making the most of her time on tour and ensuring fans that everything is good amid her recent split from Alwyn, 32. While performing in Tampa, Fla., on April 15, Swift gave a firm thumbs up to a fan holding a sign asking the songstress if she is OK.

Swift has also been making sure to fit in some quality time with her girl squad in between shows, making public appearances with Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively and the Haim sisters during an outing in New York City on April 20.

Despite having to make multiple attempts to bandage the wound, Swift emphasized that she’s “gooooood,” pointing fingers at Mercury-retrograde for the stumble.

All in all, this “Delicate” singer seems to be holding up just fine.
