In Los Angeles, Kendall Jenner Celebrated Jean Paul Gaultier’s Launch on FWRD

A wintry night (by Angeleno standards) provided the backdrop for last night’s cocktail party hosted by Kendall Jenner. The cold was no match for the fête, which celebrated the launch of Jean Paul Gaultier on luxury online retailer FWRD at a private residence in Brentwood.

Guests like Megan Fox, Doja Cat, Iris Apatow, and Chloe Bailey were on hand to toast the launch to appropriate heights. Many of the notable attendees, including Jenner herself, wore reissues of Gaultier’s body-hugging cyber dot printed pieces from the designer’s standout Fall 1995 “Cyber” collection.

Jenner, creative director of FWRD, and her sister Kim Kardashian have long been fans of Gaultier, both seen in plenty of the designer’s creations. Back in 2020, Kim wore an original Fall ’95 futuristic dot-printed dress.

Guests sipped on Jenner’s 818 Tequila and wandered through the vast house, or draped themselves over poolside lounge chairs with sushi in hand catered by Nobu. The DJ played Kaytranada and Teedra Moses’s “Be Your Girl” as pH๏τographer Tyrell Hampton snapped pH๏τos of fellow pH๏τographer Alana O’Herlihy’s on-theme polka-dotted hat.

Though Gaultier handed over the proverbial keys to his house in 2020, inclusivity and irreverence remain at the core of the brand. As per Gaultier, the Fall 1995 collection was for the woman “courageous, confident, and very much in control of her life.” Last night’s guest list of female powerhouses decked in Gaultier was a testament to that statement.
