Kanye West makes sure fans know Paul McCartney

Kanye West put his ego aside for the sake of Paul McCartney at the Grammys when they played their song “FourFiveSeconds” with Rihanna.

West and McCartney collaborated on several songs that will be featured on West’s upcoming album. But when the duo released a single in January, “Only One,” young fans of West’s weren’t familiar with the former Beatle and left comments that West was going to “make McCartney a star.”

Sources told us McCartney was “hurt that West’s fans didn’t know who he was . . . so West wanted to make sure he gave props to the legend, and to make him the star of the show at the Grammys.”

West at one point even inserted McCartney’s name into a verse.
