Ab-flashing Zendaya has an embarrᴀssing moment as she’s rejected entry to upscale restaurant in Rome because of her outfit
Zendaya suffered an embarrᴀssing moment in Rome on Saturday as she was refused entry to a swanky restaurant due to its strict dress code.
The ab-flashing star, 26, who wowed in a black tube top and cargo pants for her laidback outing, attempted to dine at the Italian city’s Terrazza Borromini – which requires a ‘smart casual’ style for guests.
However the star, who had a reservation, was turned away from the eaterie due to her and her party’s dress sense, with Zendaya looking unimpressed during an interaction with the restaurant staff.
The group ended up dining at a pizzeria nearby after the incident. The star’s casual look was paired with leather brogues and a designer handbag.
She wore her tresses in a wet-look sidepart and sported smoky shadow and lipgloss for the low-key look. Meanwhile the star’s beau, actor Tom Holland, 27, was seen out and about in NYC with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, 38.
The pair stepped out after dining at Sant Ambroeus restaurant in the Big Apple. He and the Euphoria star have been romantically linked since 2017 after starring opposite one another in the Spider-Man franchise.
The pair recently holidayed together for the actor’s 27th biryhday.
Taking to her own Instagram, Zendaya gave fans a glimpse at their idyllic trip and showed her boyfriend some love on his special day.
She captured the English actor swimming in the ocean with his head dunked underwater while making a heart-sign with his hands.
Another showed Tom beaming in Zendaya’s direction while climbing the ocean rocks and taking in the stunning shoreline.
She tagged her boyfriend in both images and also re-shared a promo poster for his upcoming Hulu miniseries The Crowded Room, which premieres June 9.
For Tom’s birthday last year, Zendaya penned a touching tribute calling him ‘the one who makes me the happiest.’
She included a sweet black and white pH๏τo of herself and the Cherry star embracing.
They have shown affection for one another on social media since going public with their romance two years ago.
Fans long suspected that Tom and Zendaya were in a relationship but their theories became fact when the pair were caught kissing in mid-2021.
The lovebirds recently enjoyed time together in Venice, Italy, where they explored the Venice Canals and attended a glitzy Bulgari party.
They fled the European country in mid-May and have since kept a low-profile as they continue to enjoy their time off amid the ongoing WGA Strike.
Zendaya reportedly moved into Tom’s $3million home in London early this year but she still has roots in LA after snapping up her first-ever house for $1.4million in 2021.
The Disney Channel alum recently shared rare insight into their ultra private relationship.
While speaking with The Sun, Zendaya admitted that she sometimes has a hard time understanding her beau’s British sayings — thought she ‘loves’ the accent.
‘Like I understand the concept — but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs?’ she said. ‘It’s cute when he tells me all the different phrases — but I really don’t get it!’
As for their home life, Zendaya admitted that Tom is the one who’s in the kitchen the most. ‘He is really good in the kitchen, which is fortunate as I am really accident-prone,’ she confessed.
‘We learnt early on that only one of us could be in the kitchen at a time, we are both control freaks so we can’t be in there together.’
It was revealed Tuesday that fans will get a chance to see Tom and Zendaya on screen together again for a Spider-Man sequel.
Producer Amy Pascal confirmed the news to Variety while attending the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse premiere in Los Angeles.
