Tom’s leading ladies! Cruise is joined by his glam co-stars Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson and Vanessa Kirby for Mission: Impossible 7 world premiere on Rome’s Spanish Steps
She cosied up to Tom, 60, who was looking sharp in a blue suit and shades as they posed for pH๏τos on the famous Rome monument, which had been decked out with a red carpet for the occasion.
It was the perfect setting for the world premiere as the final two Mission Impossible movies, which were sH๏τ back to back, were partly filmed in the Italian capital.
Vanessa, who returns as Alanna Mitsopolis/White Widow for the final installments, looked stunning in a gold dress which dazzled in the Italian sunshine.
The semi-sheer number highlighted the actress’ incredible physique. Also at the premiere was Greg Tarzan Davis, who plays Degas in the new movies, after starring alongside Tom in 2022 smash hit Top Gun Maverick.
French actress plays Pom Klementieff, who plays an ᴀssᴀssin named Paris, was looking gorgeous in a lilac satin number.
Dead Reckoning Part One is a long time coming as it had production halted a number of times due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It was sH๏τ back-to-back with its direct sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two.
The two films were initially reported to be the final chapters, as reported by several publications, including Screen Rant.
Along with the hype surrounding a new addition to the Mission Impossible franchise, the fans and media were also intrigued by rumors that co-stars Tom and Hayley had secretly dated during filming.
But Hayley efficiently silenced the rumblings as she spoke for the first time about her ‘close’ bond with Tom in an interview in the May-June issue of Country & Town House.
‘I felt like if I ever was worried about it, I could talk to him [Tom],’ the newly-engaged star said of the dating rumors.
‘And I know that he would’ve said, “People say whatever they want to say, but you know who you are, I know who I am and I want you to feel safe in this environment.”‘
She went on to describe their relationship as a form of ‘platonic love’, which she feels is sometimes under-represented.’
‘And my love for Tom, my love for the process of this [Mission], and also the people who they keep very close to them and who are very present on set, has a wholesomeness to it. That for me, I just found so beautiful, so, yeah, I can freely say ‘I love this group of people,’ Atwell admitted.
Ahead of the release of the Country & Town House interview, the Captain America: The First Avenger star had gone public and announced she had gotten engaged to actor boyfriend Ned Wolfgang Kelly in April.
They reportedly started dating in July 2022.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which along with Cruise and Atwell also stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Henry Czerny, is slated to hits theaters in the U.S. on on July 12.
The sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two, is scheduled to make its premiere in theaters on June 28, 2024.
