Kim Kardashian brings glam team to take driver’s license pic: ‘Crazy’ but ‘I don’t care’
The trick to great pH๏τos? Bring a glam squad.
Kim Kardashian rolled up to the DMV with reinforcements in tow on the new episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians” Thursday — and in addition to having the whole place to herself, the reality star also had a full primp session ahead of “the most important pH๏τo you’ll ever take.”
“I swear this is where I came to get my license,” Kardashian, 42, exclaimed as she arrived at a California DMV wearing her $450 Balenciaga pedicure flip-flops, a sleeveless black mock-neck top and an oversized varsity jacket to renew her driver’s license.
Hairdresser Chris Appleton walked in behind her while carrying a bag full of styling tools, with Kardashian thanking the staff “for staying open” just for her pH๏τo.
“Today we are with Kim and we’re getting her driving-license-picture-ready,” the celeb hairstylist told a producer as makeup artist Ariel Tejada laughed next to him.
Appleton defended the Skims founder’s dedication to getting the perfect pH๏τo, saying, “It’s a big deal because you have to live with it for a long time.”
“Too many people live with driving licenses which are not cute, so we need to make sure it’s right,” the hair pro added, giving Tejada a high five and saying, “No matter where Kim goes, me and Ariel have got her back.”
Kardashian sat in a plastic chair during the scene, flipping through her phone as Tejada did her makeup and Appleton used a crimper on her hair to create some beach waves.
“I love that you’re glamming for the pH๏τo,” a producer said as the Skkn by Kim founder replied, “I mean, this is the most important pH๏τo you’ll ever take in your life.”
Along with her beauty session, the mom of four got into a height debate with her team, saying despite her license paperwork stating she’s 5-foot-3, she’s at least half an inch taller; Tejada joked Kardashian was “definitely, like, 5-foot-2.”
Her glam squad then surrounded her to survey their work as Kardashian got ready for the sH๏τ, with Tejada holding up a light while Appleton fine-tuned the placement of her hair.
While Kardashian admitted “it’s definitely crazy” to “bring a light and a glam team” to the DMV, she added, “I don’t care.”
Appleton praised the DMV pH๏τographer for getting the sH๏τ in only two tries, after which Kardashian couldn’t resist throwing a barb at “diva” sister Kourtney, 44, amid the pair’s ongoing feud.
“First is the worst, second is the best,” she said, adding, “That’s why I’m the second child.”
