Diva at the DMV! Kim Kardashian skips the lines for VIP visit to get her driver’s license pH๏τo with glam squad in tow

Celebrities are people too, and they have to perform the same mundane tasks we all do… like getting a new drivers license pH๏τo… though Kim Kardashian did so with a glam twist on this week’s episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians.

The sixth episode of The Kardashians’ third season – enтιтled The Tension Is Brewing – opened with Kim – who made headlines for rocking a risque outfit to Steph Shepherd’s wedding – bringing her glam squad to a local Los Angeles DMV office.

‘I swear this is where I came to get my license,’ Kim tells her team after getting out of her luxurious vehicle. Kim enters the empty DMV office, seemingly coming in after closing time, as she tells the employees, ‘Hi thank you guys for staying open.’

She’s joined by her longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton and makeup artist Ariel Tejada, who get her ready for the ‘pH๏τo shoot.’

When asked by producers what they’re doing today, Appleton says, ‘Today we are out with Kim and we are getting her driving license picture ready. But it’s a big deal because you have to live with it for a long time.’

Appleton and Tejada are seen getting Kim ready for the shoot, as Tejada is heard saying, ‘Five years is a long time.’ Appleton adds, ‘Too many people live with driving licenses which are not cute, so we need to make sure it’s right.’

‘And no matter where Kim goes, me and Ariel have got her back,’ Appleton adds, giving the makeup artist a high five with a laugh. A producer tells Kim – while she’s getting makeup applied by Tejada – ‘I love that you’re glamming the pH๏τo.’

‘I mean, this is the most important pH๏τo you’ll ever take in your life,’ Kim says, while revealing her birthday is coming up, adding, ‘I’m turning 42.’

Tejada adds that he, ‘Saw this thing on TikTok where it was saying that the world is spinning faster than it normally does. That’s why we all look so much better than like our parents or our grandparents did when they were like 60, you know.’

‘Hmm, it’s not the Botox?’ Kim jokes, adding in confession what she hopes to accomplish in her 42nd year.

Back at the DMV, Kim reads a sheet of paper that says her height is 5-foot-3-inches but Kim says she’s 5-foot-3-and-a-half, which Tejada contests.

‘In your dreams you’re 5-3-and a half,’ Tejada jokes, as Kim says, ‘Get a f***ing stick… get a height thing, what are you talking about?’ ‘Kimberly, you’re definitely like 5-2,’ Tejada says with a laugh, as Kim insists, ‘I was gonna say, definitely 5-4,’ as Chris says, ‘Yeah, I think 5-4.’

They are finally ready to take the picture as Kim says, ‘OK guys, thank you for waiting,’ adding in confession, ‘I really just want it to look good, like, why not bring a light and a glam team? It’s definitely crazy, but I don’t care.’

Kim jokes about posing with her tongue out as a DMV employee throws Kim and her team off guard… by saying it’s time for her to do a, ’25-question knowledge test.’

‘What? For real?’ Kim asks, when the employee admits, ‘No, I’m just kidding,’ as Kim adds, ‘Oh, I was like, I can do it.’ Chris and Ariel put the finishing touches on on her hair and makeup, while Ariel adjusts a portable light he’s shining on her face as she asks Ariel, ‘Do we need to powder like there?’ while putting her hand over her mouth.

When filling out her form, Kim asks, ‘You guys, should I add West, or no?’ Chris responds, ‘No.’ Kim sits in front of the green backdrop, adding, ‘Oh my God I’m so nervous! Just kidding, as long as I have pH๏τo approval.’

The DMV employee tells Kim, ‘You want to keep your eyes focused on the blue circle,’ as Kim says to wait until she’s not smiling. ‘OK, no wrinkles, no,’ Kim adds, and she’s just about to tell the DMV employee that she’s ready… when Chris steps in to fix a stray strand of hair.

‘Stop, dude,’ Kim protests, as Chris fixes the hair, adding, ‘You’re gonna have to live with this for years, you’ll hate it.’ Kim finally says she’s ready as the DMV employee says she has four seconds, as she counts down before the picture snaps.

Kim asks if she can see the pH๏τo, as they all rush back to see the image on the DMV computer, as Kim says, ‘Come on guys, we all need to approve this.’

They take a look at the image as Ariel says, ‘Hmm, can we try again?’ Chris asks, ‘Maybe can you come out a bit more, so it’s not so cropped?’ The employee starts tinkering with the pH๏τo, while Kim asks, ‘Is there any way to save this, do another and have them side-by-side?’

The employee says there isn’t as Ariel asks her to ‘Airdrop it to them really quickly,’ but the employee says, ‘We don’t have that technology.’

‘I think you could do better,’ Ariel adds, as Kim stands in front of the green backdrop once again, with Ariel holding a portable light shining in her face.

Chris tells Kim to put her shoulders back as the employee counts to four once again and takes the picture, as they all go back to see it. ‘Wow,’ Ariel says as Kim admits, ‘This one’s good… it looks exactly the same as the other one.’

Chris adds that the DMV employee – Blanca – ‘killed it, she nailed it. We’ve worked with many pH๏τographers all the time, Blanca, and you got the sH๏τ.’

Ariel added that they normally don’t get the perfect snap in two sH๏τs, but Blanca managed to pull it off. Kim added, while grabbing her coat, ‘We trusted our instincts. First is the worst, second is the best. That’s why I’m the second child.’

She adds while walking out the door, ‘Thanks guys, couldn’t have done that without you,’ before leaving the DMV.
