Taylor Swift Brings 7-Year-Old Sick Fan Onstage at Charlotte Show

Taylor Swift is all about her fans, but she went above and beyond to make one especially deserving fan’s dream come true. At the Charlotte, N.C. stop of her Red Tour on Friday night (March 22), the singer brought a sick 7-year-old girl named Emma Routh onstage with her. It meant so much to her that Emma’s family cannot stop gushing about what a heartwarming gesture the country superstar made on her behalf.

The family writes:
Taylor Swift, thank you for making our night by pulling Emma up on stage during Sparks Fly. You are such a beautiful person. This was a night we will never forget. Emma kept telling me, ‘I feel so special tonight.’ When we are not promised a tomorrow with our sweet Emma, every moment counts. You gave us memories that will last a lifetime. So grateful tonight, and that she can forget about all of the pain and just be a kid again.
Another post to the social media site reads as follows:

Emma on stage with Taylor Swift. She pulled her right out of the audience. Taylor, you are truly a beautiful soul. The kindness in your heart is amazing. Thank you to everyone who made this happen. Jeff Davis, tanner at WSOC radio station, and to everyone else who helped make this happen. Truly remarkable night we will never forget. We are so thankful. Will post more pictures tomorrow. ♥ ♥

Emma is afflicted with Fanconi Anemia, a rare blood disorder that leads to bone marrow failure. At just 7, she has undergone both chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, yet this special little girl continues to surpᴀss milestones that defy her physician’s original prognosis.
We’re pulling for you, Emma!
