Gigi Hadid rocks denim capris and sheer tank top as she celebrates pal’s birthday in NYC… after partying with Leo DiCaprio in the Hamptons
Gigi Hadid dressed for the occasion as she joined her best friend and influencer, Leah McCarthy, to celebrate her birthday in NYC on Thursday.
The supermodel, 28, who recently fueled romance rumors once again with Leonardo DiCaprio after partying in the Hamptons, opted for stylish comfort in the warmer summer temperatures.
The mother of one donned a pair of light blue, denim capris that were secured with a sleek black belt with a gold buckle on the front.
She easily tucked in a plain, semi-sheer black tank top into the waist of the capris and slipped into a pair of closed-toed, black pumps.
The star slung a black, cross-body purse over her left shoulder to hold a few items she needed during the special birthday festivities at Jac’s on Bond.
Her long blonde locks were slicked back into a fashionable up do to prevent any loose strands from falling onto her face.
Gigi accessorized her look for the night wearing an ᴀssortment of gold-chained necklaces as well as dainty, gold-hooped earrings.
For a finishing touch, the model threw on a pair of oval-shaped, black shades as she strolled along the bustling city sidewalks while heading to the NYC bar.
Her close friend and media personality, Leah, was also dressed up for her birthday gathering and showed off her toned frame wearing a black miniskirt with a hem that stopped inches above her knees.
She slipped into a pair of white, open-toed strappy heels for a pop of color to the monochromatic outfit. Leah also slung a small, silver purse over her left shoulder.
Her locks were parted in the middle, and combed back into a chic bun, revealing a pair of dangly, colorful earrings.
The two BFFS, who were recently spotted last month grabbing a casual lunch in the Big Apple, were seen happily conversing as they made their way into the venue for the dinner and were also joined by Queer Eye star, Antoni Porowski.
The special celebration comes shortly after Gigi was spotted spending time with Oscar winner, Leonardo DiCaprio, at the Hamptons over the weekend.
While partying ahead of Fourth of July, a source told People that the model and Killers Of The Flower Moon actor were ‘flirty’ with each other.
The insider expressed, ‘They were with separate groups of people but partied together for two nights. They were flirty and Gigi looked happy.’
‘It’s pretty obvious that they are seeing each other. Maybe not exclusively, but they are definitely dating,’ the source stated. ‘It’s just always very predictable: Leo shows up to parties first, then Gigi second. It’s like a game.’
A separate source explained to the outlet that the model is simply, ‘single and enjoying the summer. She sees Leo when they are in the same place. She has fun with him. It’s more of a flirtatious connection than a relationship. She likes the attention.’
The insider stated that the mother of one ‘doesn’t believe it’s going to lead anywhere. As long as he is respectful and doesn’t cause her any drama, she will continue to see him when she can.’
Another source also opened up about Gigi and Leonardo spending time together at the Hamptons, and told Page Six, ‘Leo and Gigi were talking to each other. She seemed thrilled. Everyone thought they were together [as a couple].’
Although the insider stated that there was no PDA between the two stars, there was still a ‘vibe’ between the pair, explaining that, ‘the way they were talking to each other … You could feel the energy.’
They attended David Rosenberg’s annual party in Bridgehampton, with Gigi celebrating Leah’s birthday a few days early as well, per Page Six.
Both Gigi and Leonardo were first romantically linked back in September 2022 at an afterparty during New York Fashion Week.
Earlier last month, rumors began circulating that Gigi and Leo were in a ‘no-strings-attached relationship’, with Us Weekly reporting that the duo were having a ‘fluid romance.’
However, insiders have insisted that – while they did try dating briefly – this is absolutely not the case, adding that the actor does not believe in casual flings.
‘They tried dating some time ago to see if there could be anything there, but there just wasn’t. They are friends and have been for so long, but they are not in an open relationship with no-strings-attached,’ the insider told DailyMail.com.
‘People just need to let this go. That is not how Leonardo handles relationships. This makes him sound cheap and that he is not. When he is with someone, he is with them. He enjoys his friendship with Gigi and that is that.’
Leo and Gigi have fueled romance rumors recently when they were spotted dining with his parents in London two nights in a row.
However, when asked about the recent outings with his folks, the source hit back at the suggestion that dining out together means that anything more than friendship exists between the two.
‘It is just ridiculous that a man and a woman cannot be friends without everyone insisting there is more to it,’ they said.
Hadid previously dated former One Direction member, Zayn Malik, and the stars share daughter, Khai, two.
