Kim Kardashian Has Entered Her Football WAG-Dressing Era
The next-gen of Kardashians has grown up with a whirlwind of themed birthday parties and celebratory, excessive trips – almost every episode of The Kardashians features another pastel balloon-arch and industrious cake station.
Kim’s son Saint is football obsessed, but instead of watching the games on television, the star has put Kim Air (her private plane) into action, taking him on a stadium tour of the world to meet the greats of the beautiful game.
Earlier this month they watched Lionel Messi make his debut in Miami, she FaceTimed with Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and now they have flown to Japan to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play.
This on-going football tour has seen Kim Kardashian in the stands at Old Trafford and Parc des Princes stadium – but she’s not been wearing any old football shirt and Sambas.
In Japan this weekend she entered WAG mode once again, with silver high-waisted jeans, a fitted bodysuit and a high ponytail that would have looked at home with the wives and girlfriends at the World Cup circa 2006. In Miami, she brought a similar energy, sitting on the edge of the pitch in ripped denim and strappy stilettos.
But it was her bright-pink Chanel coin purse belt that had all the qualities of a true WAG fashion item – it’s flashy, covered in logos and is totally impractical.
In Miami she also had an all-leather look, wearing a cropped halter top and high-waisted leather trousers, which was of course Victoria Beckham’s trademark look back in her husband’s Manchester United days. With her long hair extensions, sculpting tank tops and leather looks, Kim is keeping Y2K WAG fashion alive one game at a time.
