Shakira Arrived at Paris Fashion Week With Pin-Straight Hair and a Meme-Worthy Outfit

When most folks think of Shakira, I’m sure images of her belly dancing and her “Hips Don’t Lie” music video come to mind. Personally, I think of her early days as a brunette, the animated “Objection (Tango)” music video, and her oil-soaked dance routine in the “La Tortura” video, a personal fave. Fair to say I’m a fan of the Colombian singer. Despite that, I was totally unprepared for her ensemble at the Viktor & Rolf haute couture fall/winter 2023/2024 show, which could best be described as meme-worthy.

Shakira arrived at the fashion show in a white knee-length dress with studded golden trim. It seemed like an ordinary outfit until you saw the 3D bodice that was sculpted into the shape of the word, “NO” in mᴀssive letters across her chest. She paired the striking dress with chunky gold heels and gradient-tinted shades.

Her hair was styled simply, with straight, highlighted pieces cascading all the way down to her waist, grazing the “NO” and the belt at her waist. You can see a sliver of her brunette roots that quickly transition into the caramel and honey-blonde color less than an inch from her scalp.

Shakira took off her sunglᴀsses during the show, allowing us to see the neutral eye shadows blended along her lower lash line and her extra-thick, fluffy lashes. Her lips were coated with a ɴuᴅᴇ pink color.

I don’t know about you, but I feel that there is a lesson here in Shakira’s outfit about the value of saying, “No…,” or maybe I’m just looking for an excuse to cancel all my plans this week. Regardless, I’m here for this statement-making dress and her straight blonde hair.
