Miley Cyrus teases new song Used to Be Young with posters plastered in LA, NYC, France, and Belgium

Two-time Grammy nominee Miley Cyrus teased a brand new song called Used to Be Young by having her team plaster posters of herself all over Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, and Brussels.

The Tennessee-born 30-year-old’s posters mostly featured song lyrics from some of her biggest hits like The Climb, Flowers, Wrecking Ball, and Party in the USA.

The posters feature Miley (born Destiny) wearing two Maison Margiela looks selected by her stylist Bradley Kenneth – one of which directly referenced her notorious 2013 MTV VMAs latex costume.

Cyrus – who boasts 329.7M social media followers – captioned her silent street video: ‘I know I used to be crazy. I know I used to be fun. You say I used to be wild. I say I used to be young.’

These were the exact same lyrics quoted in the goddaughter of Dolly Parton’s cover story in the June edition of British Vogue where she discussed the moment an unnamed songwriter came to her with a track.

‘It was like, you know, the standard f***ed-up-in-the-club track. And I was like, “I’m two years sober. That’s not where I spend my time, you know. You’re more likely to catch me and my friends literally walking through rose gardens or going to a museum,”‘ Miley said in the mag.

‘It’s not about being self-serious. I’m just evolved.’

Needless to say, Cyrus’ Instagram post on Tuesday shocked and thrilled everyone from three-time Grammy winner Diplo to RuPaul’s Drag Race #2 alum Kylie Sonique Love to TikToker Avery Cyrus to Spotify and Amazon Music.

Also sharing the panSєxual pop star’s post on Tuesday was her half-sister Brandi Cyrus, who revealed on her podcast Your Favorite Thing in March that her ‘favorite song’ off Endless Summer Vacation ‘is actually not on here, it will be coming out later.’

On May 24, Miley revealed she would not be embarking on a tour to support her eighth studio album, but it’s not meant to offend her Smilers fanbase.

‘This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans and everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room, which is the reality of life on the road,’ Cyrus – whose fortune tops $160M – apologized.

‘These looks I’ve been turnin’ don’t travel well. The archival looks don’t fold. I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn’t what’s best of me right now. And if you’ve been following my career you know that I always change and the way I feel about that could too.’

Blurred lines, indeed: The posters feature Miley (born Destiny) wearing two Maison Margiela looks selected by her stylist Bradley Kenneth – one of which directly referenced her notorious 2013 MTV VMAs latex costume

The former Disney Channel star will next compete for five Moonman trophies – including video and song of the year for Flowers – at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, which air September 12 on MTV.

Miley will then release the 10th anniversary reissue of her fourth studio album, Bangerz, on September 29.
