Kanye West gushes about being ‘so close’ to his children and wanting to remain ‘the best father’ following his split from ex Kim Kardashian

Kanye West gushed he is ‘so close’ to his four kids North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, four and Psalm, two, since splitting with Kim Kardashian.

While navigating the end of his nearly seven-year marriage, the 44-year-old performer opened up prioritizing family time and pushing himself to be the ‘best father.’

‘My solace comes from seeing my kids and getting a solid schedule,’ the Gold Digger rapper said on Monday’s episode of Hollywood Unlocked.

Speaking of his decision to purchase a mansion across the street from his estranged wife, West raved his little ones are ‘literally going to be in walking distance’ from him, at all times.

Elsewhere in the interview, West let the Kardashians know that nothing would come between him and his youngsters as he sat down with Jason Lee.

Lee suggested there shouldn’t be any drama when it comes to co-parenting, but Kanye, who legally changed his name to Ye, cautioned the reality stars instead – before slamming Kim for ‘making jokes’ on SNL about their split.

He said of the media savvy family’s expectations: ‘…And to participate without no noise,’ he said. ‘Cause they can go on SNL and make jokes. They can make jokes in the media. They can plant stories about whoever I’m dating whatever they want to do. They can block deals they could do all that type of stuff.’

He added: ‘But I’mma tell you straight up, don’t play with my kids.

‘Don’t play with my kids. Whoever y’all work for, whoever y’all think the family is working for, I’m telling you right now, don’t play with my children. And it’s going to be all legal. It’s going to be all legal, baby.’
