Peтιтion demands Kanye West is banned from performing at Coachella after calling Trevor Noah a racial slur and attacking Kim Kardashian and her beau Pete Davidson in online posts

Critics have set up a peтιтion demanding Kanye West be banned from the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival after he called Trevor Noah a racial slur.

The rapper, 44, is scheduled to headline the Sunday performances at Coachella on April 17 and April 24.

But a peтιтion, launched on March 17 on Change.org, has racked up more than 29,000 signatures calling for Kanye to be removed from the music festival’s line-up.

A caption alongside the peтιтion states: ‘No one seems to want to stand up to him [Kanye], and the ones that do, he puts under fire as well.’

‘Coachella (along with other brand names that are still working with him) should be ashamed of themselves and should not be giving him any more of a platform. Please sign & share!’, it added.

It comes after Kanye was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours following a post in which he called the Daily Show host Trevor Noah a ‘k**n’, which was said to have violated the site’s harᴀssment policy.

Kanye was also banned from performing at the Grammy Awards this year due to his harᴀssing posts directed at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 41, her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28.
