It’s a jungle out there! Taylor Swift continues her tour of London with a trip to the zoo

She’s visited the Diana memorial, and done a spot of shopping along Portobello Road and Old Bond Street.

And it appears that Taylor Swift is keen not to miss some of London’s more lighthearted tourist spots as well.

The singer visited London Zoo today to catch a glimpse of some of the city’s livelier attractions.

The star looked relaxed in her favourite burgundy duffel coat- which she was seen out in on the first day on her London visit.

Taylor teamed the coat with jeans, and plugged her pink iPod in so as to enjoy some music as she wandered around.

She stopped to look at the birds for a while, and also appeared to enter the ʙuттerfly house.

Only last week Taylor networking at Sundance in Park City, Utah.

She has braved the cold again for her London visit, and is said to be in rehearsals for the upcoming Les Miserables movie.

Before getting down to business, the Country Music star took time out to visit the Princess Diana Memorial fountain at Hyde Park yesterday.

Gazing into the water, the young star appeared to be paying her respects and also carefully read the fountain’s plaque.

The memorial fountain was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth in July 2004.

According royalparks.org,uk: ‘The design aims to reflect Diana’s life, water flows from the highest point in two directions as it cascades, swirls and bubbles before meeting in a calm pool at the bottom. The water is constantly being refreshed and is drawn from London’s water table,’ it says.

‘The Memorial also symbolises Diana’s quality and openness. There are three bridges where you can cross the water and go right to the heart of the fountain.’

Braving the typical English wet weather, Taylor protected her casual yet chic outfit with an umbrella.

The statuesque blonde looked pretty in a black skirt adorned with kittens, which she paired with a leather bomber jacket and a grey woolen scarf.

She kept her long legs protected from the cold with a pair of black tights and her feet ready for some long distance walking in a pair of black leather lace-up flats.

Listening to her iPod, Taylor clearly was enjoying some alone time during the sightseeing tour.

She smiled as she marveled over a pair of picturesque perfect swans and took particular interest in a giant bird sculpture at the grounds

Earlier in the day, Taylor made the journey to West London’s famed Portobello Road for a spot of shopping.

Accompanied by friends, she visited Alice’s, an antique dealer which specialises in decorative furniture from a range of periods.

She reportedly spent 30 minutes in the store, which was said to have closed especially for her, but it is unknown if she made any purchases.

She did however make three female fans day when her security let them in the store to meet her.

Later she moved on to Old Bond Street where she indulged her sweet tooth by visiting famed chocolate shop Charbonnel et Walker.

There she picked up several boxes of treats, perfectly packaged in the store’s signature pale pink boxes complete with ribbon.

During the day, Taylor took a break from all of her tourist activities by dining at Cote brᴀssiere.

The singer is reportedly in London to rehearse for the Les Miserables film, where she thought to be playing the role of Eponine, according to broadwayworld.com.

The full cast has not officially been announced but several publications have reported that Taylor has snagged the role.

She is said to be joining a star-studded roll call, consisting of Hugh Jackman in the lead role of  Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Javert, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, Sacha Baron Cohen as Thernardier, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, Anne Hathaway as Fantine and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier

The musical is due to hit cinemas at the end of December.

Taylor’s trip comes after it was rumoured that she was romantically linked to High School Musical star Zac Efron, after the pair recently enjoyed an intimate dinner together.

But if 24-year-old actor Efron fancies Taylor he has a very strange way of showing it.

Taylor was alone networking at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Utah last week while Zac was out partying with Ashley Tisdale.

Efron and Taylor were seen being rather flirtatious when the pair allegedly arrived at an Italian restaurant and ‘were deep in conversation and very giggly’ earlier during the week.

After a red carpet appearance together to promote their upcoming movie The Lorax, and gushing remarks about each other, the couple were thought to be more than just friends.

But while many people expected Efron to arrive on the arm of Taylor at the Sundance Festival, she turned up by herself as he was partying with another woman.

Efron instead opted to hit the town with another former co-star, Tisdale, and the Disney actress posted a picture on Twitter of the action.

Joined by a group of friends the gang looked ready to paint the town red as they headed out in a black Escalade.

Ashley and Efron have also been romantically linked in the past after he was pictured with her during his break-up with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.

Ironically though, she is currently dating Taylor’s ex boyfriend and Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson.

Taylor made the most of her time at Sundance however and was seen mingling with a host of stars at the iconic festival.

She was joined by director Rory Kennedy and then chatted to the festival’s founder and Hollywood legend Robert Redford.

Later in the day she attended the Artist at the Table Dinner and Discussion held at The Shop and was thrilled to meet singer and actress Mary J Blige.

The soulful star was sporting an elegant blonde hairstyle and seemed happy to answer a few of Taylor’s questions.
