Taylor Swift announces Eras Tour concert film

After wrapping the first North American leg of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift has announced her second concert film.

In a post on her official Instagram account, Swift shared a message to fans with a trailer for the film. The Eras Tour film will premiere in theaters this fall rather than heading straight to a streaming service.

Swift’s previous tour film, “Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour” was released directly on Netflix in 2018.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift said in the post. “Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! Tickets are on sale now at amctheatres.com.”

According to Rolling Stone, Swift stayed true to her lucky numbers – 1989 and 13 – and set ticket prices at $19.89, while children and senior tickets will run at $13.13. AMC has reportedly planned to bolster its ticket server capacity after Ticketmaster was hit with mᴀss traffic during Eras Tour ticket presales.

The Eras Tour is already breaking records, with the average attendance per show pushing 72,000. The tour is expected to gross over $2 billion in total and crack Elton John’s record of $887 million for his farewell tour.

Swift’s next tour stop is set for Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She will perform in Brazil, Australia, Japan, Singapore and all throughout Europe before heading back home for the second North American leg of the tour — which includes Toronto, Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis — in the fall of 2024.
