Dua Lipa kicks back in towering 7-inch platforms: ‘The higher the heel the closer to God’

It would be difficult to dance the night away in these stompers. 

Dua Lipa shared a series of snaps on Instagram Tuesday in a barely-there black and white lace minidress paired with towering platforms with the fitting caption, “the higher the heel the closer to god.”

Dua’s fans agreed, telling the pop star in the comments section, “One step closer to heaven baby.”

“Oh my, tell me you wore them only for a pic because I actually can’t imagine anyone walking in them,” a confused commenter asked.  “We need to know if u are ever in rooms with attached ceilings at this point babes,” a follower joked.

Marc Jacobs, the designer of the Kiki Platform Pumps ($2,400), called the “Cold Heart” singer “gorgeous. always.”  Fans on Twitter were just as blown away by the mind-boggling super high heels.

One person was convinced the “Levitating” singer could make a slam dunk “without jumping” as another tweeted, “One drink and my ankles would be goners.”

Not everyone loved the look, with one person tweeting, “these shoes are really awful.”

However, Lipa’s not the only star to gain some height with the fashionable heels; Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Olivia Rodrigo and more have all worn the same style as of late.

The star loves a wild look, whether she’s channeling a Y2K raver at her 28th birthday party in a sheer bra and bling or modeling a full-body condom suit for French Vogue.

This isn’t Dua’s first foray into the world of oversized footwear, either.

The British beauty helped bring moon boots back into style earlier this year with a white furry pair, cementing her place as a platformed pop princess.
