Kanye West listens to aspiring performer show off his rap skills and gives him his number after chance encounter in Calabasas

Kanye West remains a man of the people.

The 42-year-old star spent time with a fan in Calabasas, California on Wednesday, after the man approached him with a gift as he sought his opinion on his music.

The Jesus Is Born artist listened intently as the fan rapped along with his music, moving along with the music.On the wintry day, the Grammy-winner donned a ensemble of a grey Martine Rose hoodie with black slacks and brown boots as he listened to the tunes from the fan, who wore a blue Orlando Magic jersey with blue jeans, rapping along with his recorded music.

The Can’t Tell Me Nothing artist was pictured sitting in a row with wife Kim Kardashian, mother-in-law Kris Jenner and sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian at the emotional memorial, which featured performances from Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys.

Following Bryant’s death, West dedicated a midnight edition of his Sunday Service to the memory of the late Los Angeles Lakers icon.

In a rap that evening, West said, ‘I was driving home/ They was leaving your jersey on the freeway/ And I just broke down, broke down, broke down.’

On the tragic day of the crash, West took to Twitter to remember the NBA icon.

‘Kobe, We love you brother,’ he wrote. ‘We’re praying for your family and appreciate the life you’ve lived and all the inspiration you gave.’
