Travis Barker reveals he tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Portugal tour stop

Travis Barker tested positive for COVID-19 in the midst of his international tour with Blink-182.

On Friday, the drummer, 47, shared an image of a positive COVID test on his Instagram Story, alongside the emojis “ .” Page Six reached out to Barker’s publicist who did not reply for comment.

The band, which also includes members Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, are slated to perform at the Altice Arena in Portugal on Oct 2.

Earlier this month, the European tour was postponed as Barker rushed home to be by wife Kourtney Kardashian’s side as she underwent emergency surgery on their unborn baby son.

“I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well,” the drummer shared on Twitter after the procedure.

He also thanked everyone for their support before noting that the band’s tour would resume shortly.

“God is great,” Barker concluded.

The band, who are releasing an upcoming album, recently came together to reflect on the numerous “catastrophes” they have endured in their personal lives before finally reuniting.

Vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge shared in a “One More Time…” teaser released on YouTube that he had told his wife that he never expected to “play music” or “tour again” after leaving the band for the second time in 2015.

But that all changed when frontman Mark Hoppus told his bandmates in 2021 that he had been diagnosed with cancer.

Hoppus announced in 2021 that he was battling cancer and is currently in remission.

Barker, who almost died in a 2008 plane crash, mused on Blink-182’s resilience.

“Why does it take these catastrophes … for our band to get back together?” he questioned in a preview of the group’s forthcoming interview with Apple Music host Zane Lowe.

“I always knew that the brotherhood wouldn’t ever deteriorate or wouldn’t be there,” Barker continued. “I really feel like Blink is us three, and as soon as we accept that and we just don’t settle for anything less than that, I just think that’s the future.”
