Miley Cyrus granted restraining order against alleged stalker after prison release

Cyrus has alleged that the man has a “dangerous fixation” with her.

Miley Cyrus has been granted a restraining order from her alleged stalker, following his release from prison.

According to documents published by TMZ, the singer and Black Mirror actress filed a temporary restraining order against Alexander Kardalian earlier in the week, claiming he has had an “obsession” with her since 2018.

Following the ruling, Kardalian must now remain 100 metres away from Cyrus, her home, vehicle and any venues she’s performing at.

In the documents, Cyrus alleged that Kardalian has sent numerous letters since 2018 which included requests for money and Sєxually-charged comments about her.

His “obsessive behaviour” is said to have escalated during 2022, with the man reportedly showing up at her Los Angeles home twice before being escorted away by security.

The singer then claims he was later arrested in December 2022, being imprisoned in San Quentin State Prison until August. In the days following his release, Kardalian is alleged to have turned up at her home again.

Cyrus has also claimed that Kardalian sent her a letter while incarcerated stating his intention to visit her home as well as using her address for health insurance.

In the letters, it is reported the man wrote that he “doesn’t give a f*** if he lives” should Cyrus not respond to his attempts at communication.

Elsewhere in the filing, the singer claimed the man had been dealing with “severe mental health challenges” and that he had a “dangerous fixation and, or obsession” with her.

Cyrus added that she is concerned for her own safety, as well as the lives of her mother and boyfriend, musician Maxx Morando.

A judge has since signed off on the request, meaning that Kardalian is now barred from contacting Cyrus and must stay away from any of her public events.
