From retro to psychedelic, Kendall Jenner’s ʙικιɴι collection can do it all

From retro to psychedelic, Kendall Jenner’s ʙικιɴι collection can do it all

There are stamp collectors and teacup collectors, purveyors of rare books, and connoisseurs of vintage shawls, but there can be no doubt what Kendall Jenner has a particular penchant for: ʙικιɴιs, great and small (more often small). Some are from tiny independent British labels, and others from the corners of designer archives, but there certainly are a lot of them. From the teeny tiny, to the tank, her collection is enviable to say the least.

Jenner’s latest is an as-of-yet unreleased ʙικιɴι by Heavy Manners (a brand she has on constant rotation)—a delicately ruched set in hand-painted florals that’s perfect for the transition between spring and summer. Another favourite is her retro-style seersucker number by the Hattie Tennant and Minna Bunting-founded British brand Fruity Booty, which aims “to create underwear for women and not for the male gaze”, as they told British Vogue. Cheery, and perfect for spring—and the heart detail on the straps adds just the right touch of feminine kitsch.

She’s cycled through all kinds of aesthetics when it comes to her swim wardrobe: a matching Jean Paul Gaultier dress and two-piece, swirled in sunset-splashed psychedelia, was pulled from the brand’s  spring/summer 2000 collection; and she recently wore sunshiney string number from Australian label Sommer Swim (worn, inventively, with a cropped cherry cardigan).
