Apple Music Eliminates Kanye West’s Basics Playlist as the streaming monster turns into the furthest down the line business to move away from the rapper following his enemy of Semitic comments

And now, Kanye West’s Essentials Playlist on Apple Music has been removed, indicating the streaming giant are also cuttings ties with the rapper.

The 45-year-old has been on a tirade lately, calling for death to Jews who have wronged him and also calling President Biden the ‘r’ word.Earlier this week, Daniel Ek, CEO at Spotify, addressed Kanye’s ‘awful’ comments during an interview with Reuters.

Ek said: ‘It’s really just his music, and his music doesn’t violate our policy. ‘It’s up to his label, if they want to take action or not.’

A spokesperson for UMG has now clarified: ‘Def Jam’s relationship with Ye as a recording artist, Def Jam’s partnership with the GOOD Music label venture and Ye’s merchandise agreement with Bravado all ended in 2021.’

The father-of-four’s wealth could plummet to below $1billion after the termination with the brand, which comes after several other lucrative deals have been dropped.

His deal with Balenciaga and Gap have fallen through, and the rapper was yesterday dropped by talent agency CAA.
