The Strange Evolution of Taylor Swift’s Gym Style

“That is how everyone looks when they come out of the gym,” Taylor Swift told Seth Meyers. It was August 2014 and almost every day, Swift left her Manhattan workouts wearing a full face of makeup, styled hair, stilettos, and a polished crop top set. So Meyers stated the obvious: “No, it is not. They do not.”

Because there’s always been something unusual about what she’s wearing post-sweat. From 2011-2013, it was the giant designer bags with regular gym clothes. In 2014, it was the lack of gym clothes even when her good friend Karlie Kloss would exit alongside her in fitness gear. And now, Swift in her always-new, always-perfectly-coordinated workout gear is still making triumphant, I’m-not-bothered-at-all-by-my-Hiddleswift-breakup-or-Kimye statements.
