Kendall Jenner’s bathtub shines bright thanks to this bold but elegant design choice

When it comes to luxury lifestyle, the Kardashian-Jenner clan is at the top of their class in home style. It’s no surprise, then, that even everyday objects and appliances have (literally) been turned to gold.

Kylie Jenner posted a pH๏τo on Instagram, posing in sister Kendall’s simple but refined bathroom, which includes gold-framed flower pH๏τos and beige linen curtains. The bathtub, however, is hard to miss, with its solid gold materials.

While Kendall’s tub is (naturally) made of solid gold, we’re here for a unique, metallic tub or even subtle, shimmery decals in the bathroom space, such as picture frames or a silver spout. Designers agree that this trend can elevate a luxury bathroom space.

‘Metallic touches in the bathroom are hugely fashionable at the moment and give a real sense of getting back to base materials,’ says Phil Etherden, Managing Director at The Albion Bath Company. ‘Luxurious burnished bath finishes are a popular option for anyone looking for a solid, industrial warehouse look and make a stylish focal point.’

Not just a design trend for modern luxury homes, metallics are surprisingly versatile and can fit into a range of homes, from urban to pastoral.

‘They also look surprisingly at home in more traditional schemes, and I have seen them work really well in country houses, where the bronze or gold finishes have been paired with bold floral wallpapers or simple striped wallpapers to give an opulent feel,’ says Phil.

Overall, the bathroom is the perfect place to try out new styles and trends, even in the most minimalist home. ‘People seem to be experimenting more with pattern and color again in the bathroom, which is great to see as the results can be really stunning,’ says Phil.

We understand, a gold bathtub is not the easiest of investments. However, we can still tap into a Kendall-worthy space with these picks below (but yes, of course, there’s still a tub for good measure).
