Here’s the Real Reason Shakira Made a Sexy Music Video with Rihanna

Shakira and Rihanna’s music video for “Can’t Remember to Forget You” is probably the Sєxiest one of the year so far. There’s so much slithering in such little clothing. Of course, steamy videos aren’t exactly new territory for either songstress. However, there’s a reason Shakira opted to get turn up the heat with a girl this time around.

It has to do with the star’s fiancé Gerard Pique. “He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women,” she told Billboard for the March 2014 issue. “It’s more than implied in our relationship that I can’t do videos like I used to.”

And that’s perfectly fine by her. “It’s out of the question — which I like, by the way,” she added. “I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.”

Now we’d all like to take a moment to guess which Sєxy star Shakira will pick for her next music video. Miley Cyrus seems like the obvious front runner.
