When the wife expressed certain concerns, the husband often called her a ‘damned selfish slut’ and accused her of using him, according to her lawyers, quoted by “People”. One day before the scheduled surgery, Billy Ray then filed for divorce and forced her to leave their shared home. Homeless, she had to postpone the surgery indefinitely.
