“It Would Only Make Sense” — Lainey Wilson, Former Hannah Montana Impersonator, Wants To Collab With Miley Cyrus

Lainey Wilson is gearing up to release her new album Whirlwind next month, and of course, she’s doing tons of interview and press to promote the new music.

And in a lengthy feature with FLAUNT magazine, she talked all about her time growing up in Louisiana, her journey in music thus far, of course the new record and so much more.

But the part that really caught my attention is Lainey talking about her dream collab, and she says she’d love to collaborate with Miley Cyrus. And a fun fact about Lainey is that she was actually a Hannah Montana impersonator back in the day, so it would obviously be “the best of both worlds” (a perfect Hannah Montana show reference too):

“I would love to do something with Miley Cyrus. I used to impersonate Hannah Montana, it would only make sense we had the best of both worlds.”

While Lainey is obviously rooted in country, like Miley, she has a lot of rock influence in her music too and I could actually see them meshing really well together in terms of their musical style.

And with the career trajectory that both ladies are currently on, it would seem like a superstar pairing for them to work together in that kind of capacity, and obvisouyl, a full-circle moment for Lainey.

In a previous interview, Lainey talked about her experience as a Hannah Montana impersonator for five years:

“I learned all fifteen Hannah Montana karaoke tracks. I would do birthday parties, fairs, festivals, St. Jude…you name it. Lainey Wilson would open up the show for Hannah Montana.

Hey, maybe they could even rework an old Hannah Montana gem like “He Could Be The One” or “Rock Star”? I think it could work…

Whirlwind is due out everywhere on August 23rd, and Lainey just released a two-part music video movie of sorts for two new songs, “Hang тιԍнт Honey” and “4X4XU,” which you can watch below.
