Ryan Murphy Regulars Join Kim Kardashian’s Hulu Legal Drama

The Ryan Murphy legal drama starring Kim Kardashian, All’s Fair, is getting a boost to its cast. The ensemble series by Murphy is taking place in his TV universe, so naturally, the new additions to the cast include his regular muses. It has been revealed that Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor, and Naomi Watts are all joining Kardashian and Glenn Close for the Hulu TV show which will inaugurate Murphy’s contract with the streamer.

Kardashian has been attached to the ensemble drama from the very start. It seems Murphy was more than impressed with her performance in American Horror Story: Delicate, the latest iteration of the horror anthology series which also featured Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne. Per Variety, Kardashian will play a divorce lawyer in the rocky territory of Los Angeles’ judicial system. The new cast is set to join the all-star team of lawyers led by Close. The casting of these latest big names to the series follows Halle Berry’s exit from the project last month. However, none of them will be replacing Berry’s character, as they will be playing new characters designed with them in mind.

The Murphy-Verse Keeps Getting Bigger (and Better)

All’s Fair is part of Ryan Murphy’s new venture with Hulu, aka Disney for grown-ups, which comes following the end of his long and prolific relationship with Netflix. Aside from the impressive cast, Murphy will have the support from Kardashian and Close as executive producers on the series that he will write, direct, and produce. Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, will also executive produce the project.

The show joins a plethora of series produced by Murphy. While he seems to have tackled all the genres out there, from musicals to horror, his artistic idenтιтy is strong enough to be felt throughout the entire catalog. Shows like Nip/Tuck, Glee, American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Ratched, Halston, and Monster are only a few examples of the grip he holds on the industry.

While Murphy’s work has often included some controversial content, the creator’s ability to draw in an audience has proved to be very lucrative during his years producing shows for Netflix. The question now is whether he can replicate that success on Hulu. While his decision to cast Kardashian in American Horror Story was seen as questionable at the time it was announced, especially with the reality TV star being one of the latest season’s leads, she proved to be a revelation in the latest dark tale of the franchise. Now it looks like we will find out if this kind of lightning can strike twice, or whether Murphy and Kardashian’s previous collaboration was just a flash in the pan.
