Kendall Jenner Reminds Kylie That 27 Is ‘Basically 30’ in Playful Birthday Tribute

The model referenced a viral moment from The Kardashians in a post to her sister.

Less than one year after Kylie Jenner went viral for telling her then-27-year-old sister Kendall Jenner, “you’re basically 30,” on The Kardashians, Kendall is getting the last laugh.

For Kylie’s 27th birthday today, the model shared an Instagram Story featuring a pH๏τo of her and Kylie as kids. She captioned it, “guess who’s basically 30 now?” and tagged her younger sister.

In the original clip from The Kardashians, Kylie told Kendall, “These are our years, Kendall. I’m 25. You’re like 30–”

Kendall interrupted while laughing and said, “I’m 27!”

Kylie didn’t flinch and responded, “You’re basically 30.”

Kendall isn’t the only one connected to the family to remind Kylie of that moment. The Kardashians’ TikTok account shared the clip to mark Kylie’s birthday as well.

Kylie has kept a low profile today and hasn’t added any posts to her Instagram yet.

While she also doesn’t often give interviews, she did speak to Jennifer Lawrence for Interview’s winter 2023 issue about her relationship with Kendall.

Lawrence started by saying, “You and Kendall are so different. You and me are Leos. We’re happy, excited golden retrievers. And Kendall, of course, is a Scorpio like our mother, Kris.”

“Yes,” Kylie agreed.

Lawrence then asked what differences have brought Kylie and Kendall closer.

“Her bonding with Stormi [Kylie’s 6-year-old daughter] has brought us closer,” Kylie replied. “We both have this strong presence and personality, but that’s not a bad thing.”

“And you guys aren’t really ever vying for the same thing,” Lawrence added.

Kylie concurred, saying, “We’re so different between our style and our personality.”
