Taylor Swift always wanted a boyfriend whose ‘comfort level with fame’ matched hers

Taylor Swift manifested her end game years before she scored a touchdown with NFL star Travis Kelce.

In a recently resurfaced 2011 interview with “60 Minutes” shared in the program’s “A Second Look” podcast on Tuesday, a 21-year-old Swift said she preferred to date someone who would be comfortable with her level of fame.

“It’s so heartbreaking when things click, but your comfort level with fame is so different than [the person you’re dating],” she explained at the time.

“‘Cause I don’t care … It doesn’t matter to me who’s looking, but it does to some people.”

The “Love Story” singer, now 34, added, “You couldn’t really have a good relationship with someone who cares that much. It seems a little unnecessary to care that much about keeping people out.”

She and Kelce, also 34, have made it clear that they’re both comfortable with having all eyes on them.

Over the weekend, for instance, Swift cheered the famous tight end on at his Kansas City Chiefs game against the Cincinnati Bengals and then had no problem getting their pH๏τo taken at Patrick Mahomes’ 29th birthday bash later that night.

The weekend prior, the 14-time Grammy winner exemplified how serious she is about Kelce by shouting him out during her final speech at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Plus, they were all smiles as Swift danced up on him while watching the US Open earlier in the month.

Even without the recent examples of their shameless public displays of affection, Swift made it known she and Kelce would enjoy a public relationship during her 2023 Time Person of the Year profile.
