Taylor Swift fans know exactly what song you should set as your alarm

Taylor Swift fans have worked out the best songs that double as alarm clocks for Swifties looking for a musical start to their day.

Naturally, fans will have different preferences when it comes to their wake-up call, but there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a rousing song or a gentler track, Swifties know exactly what song you should pick.

Sharing their recommendations on Reddit, fans agreed songs with long introductions often make good choices. “For a while I had Style. And Welcome To New York. I like stuff with a long intro for alarms!” shared one such fan.

Another said: “My go-to is style because that intro ascends me into an astral plane and it’s so fun to wake up to.” They added: “If I feel a bit more low-key then I like all too well 10.” However, someone else revealed they enjoyed using ‘Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?’ when they needed to feel pumped up in the morning. For similar reasoning, fans suggested ‘Bejeweled’ for a “sparkly” start to the day.

“I do Bejeweled, but I’m thinking of switching to closure,” another answered, and a different fan said: “Right now it’s the intro of But Daddy I love him and I’m thinking to change it to ICDIWABH,” referencing Taylor’s track ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” A Reputation lover added: “…Ready For It?”

Meanwhile, other fans were shocked to learn fellow Swifties use musical alarm clocks. “I wouldn’t ruin a song for myself like this,” someone said. A second added: “Not a chance I’d want a song that I like as my wake-up alarm. That’s a good way to turn it into a song I hate with every fibre of my being.”

A third commented: “My college roommate had Picture to Burn as her alarm song. And this was back in 2008, so it wasn’t a real recording, it was like a janky crackly recording on her phone of some other device playing the song. Ruined that song for me for a solid 15 years. I can sort of enjoy it now but it still makes me wince a little when I first hear it lol.”
