Chance for strong storms with hail, lightning rise Sunday for Taylor Swift’s third Nashville show

Forecasters are monitoring the potential for strong storms Sunday afternoon and evening that could impact the third of three Taylor Swift concerts, according to the National Weather Service.

The Sunday show is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., with Swift expected to take the stage around 8 p.m. and perform for about three hours as part of the artist’s “Eras” tour, which got underway Friday night in Nashville

.

The weather service is monitoring the potential for rain Sunday that could include damaging straight line winds, hail and lightning along with the added threat of downpours, meteorologist Matt Reagan said.

The timing on Sunday is estimated from late afternoon into the evening. Tornadoes are not a concern with the forecast at this time, Reagan said.

There is a 60% chance of rain during the day on Sunday, which goes up to 80% in the evening, according to the weather service. Sunday’s high temperature is expected to reach around 85 degrees with the overnight low in the middle 60s.
