Chicago bar’s ‘Bad Bug’ cocktail is inspired by Taylor Swift swallowing fly on Eras Tour

When someone swallows a bug most people try to pretend it never happened. When you’re Taylor Swift it makes headlines and now inspires a cocktail.

The music legend recently wrapped two shows in Chicago earlier this month as part of her Eras Tour. The singer swallowed a bug during her third show at the Soldier Field on June 3.

“I swallowed a bug I’m so sorry…oh, delicious!” Swift said. “Is there any chance none of you saw that? It’s fine… I swallowed it.”

The Replay Lincoln Park bar in Chicago decided to honor the moment’s impact on the city by announcing its new “Bad Bug” drink. The cocktails name fuses the fly moment and the тιтle of Swift’s track “Bad Blood” off the 1989 album.

As for the drink itself, Swifties can enjoy a concoction of vodka, ginger beer, tamarind, chili pepper, watermelon and pineapple. Topping off the “Bad Bug,” are some gummy critters for a more pleasant texture than a fly.

Replay created the limited edition cocktail as part of Replay’s Swift-themed pop-up, the Tay Tay Partay. The pop-up, which launched on May 12 and ends June 18, features more themed drinks as well as pH๏τo opportunities and Swift’s music.

Swift’s next tour stop will be in Pittsburgh as she delivers two more shows at the Acrisure Stadium on Friday and Saturday. Her last U.S. stop is scheduled in Los Angeles at Sofi Stadium on August 9 before she embarks on her international concerts in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil − where Sabrina Carpenter will join her.
