Dua Lipa, 27, cosies up to Rita Ora’s ex Romain Gavras, 41, as they make their red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival – weeks after confirming their romance
Dua Lipa and her new boyfriend Romain Gavras looked very loved up as they made their red carpet debut at the 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Friday evening.
The New Rules songstress, 27, confirmed she was dating filmmaker Romain, 41, who is Rita Ora’s ex, back in March.
The couple has so far kept their relationship very private – but smacked on the PDA at the screening of Omar La Fraise (The King Of Algiers).
Dua put on a very sultry display in a black gown from Celine by Hedi Slimane, embellished with several oval cut-outs to expose a racy flash of her skin – complete with a high slit up her leg.
As she turned, her side-profile showed a glimpse of her ᴀssets while a criss-cross pattern across her back revealed yet more flawless skin.
Her raven tresses were styled in an elegant up-do, with her locks pulled back into a high bun, while trendy bangs swept across her forehead.
She opted for classic glamorous make-up to accentuate her beauty, including a ɴuᴅᴇ lip, while adding a gorgeous pair of dangling earrings.
Meanwhile Romain looked very dashing in a black suit – but all his attention was on his Don’t Start Now star girlfriend as he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
The singer beamed as she showed off her new beau as they couldn’t keep their hands off one another.
Dua and Romain held hands as they arrived at the premiere and he placed a gentle hand on her waist as they posed for pH๏τos.
Later on, she placed her hands on his chest in a very affectionate display as they proved they felt very comfortable with each other.
Back in March, sources claimed the pair had been ‘quietly getting to know each other for months,’ following her split from Anwar Hadid in 2021.
A source told The Sun: ‘Dua and Romain have been quietly getting to know each other for several months.
‘They have been enjoying spending time together. The pair met each other’s close circles over the festive period and have lots in common.
‘Dua knows how important it is to find someone who understands her industry. She feels Romain totally gets it. They’re both really creative people.’
They had previously been spotted leaving Netflix’s annual BAFTA Awards afterparty at the Chiltern Firehouse in London.
Feature film Omar La Fraise was sH๏τ in Algeria and stars French partners in crime Benoît Magimel and Reda Kateb, who are on the run.
Directed by Elias Belkeddar, a special midnight screening was shown at the film festival.
The film is a love story and focuses on two relationships: one between two men and one romance between a man and a woman.
