Gerard Pique Registers Legal Victory Against Shakira Just Before Christmas
It seems there is no end to the cold war between Gerard Pique and Shakira. The Colombian shines in stardom and music, while the soccer star continued to face backlashes for his infidelity. As their eleven-year-long relationship ended on a bitter note, both of them wanted to seek closure as soon as possible. Nonetheless, their lives remain intertwined by their shared past, which primarily includes their children, Milan and Sasha. Recently, Pique once again left Shakira in a tight spot regarding the custody of their two sons.

While Shakira and Pique discussed the custodial rights of their sons, they couldn’t agree on with whom their children would stay during celebrations. Now that Christmas is almost here, the 36-year-old wanted to spend the day with his children and took legal steps for the same. As per Semana, he won the rights, and this year Milan and Sasha would celebrate Christmas with their father.
Last year, they were with Shakira, and they traveled to Dubai to celebrate the day. While, the former defender spent Christmas with his girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, in Barcelona. Some reports say that this year too, the ‘Whenever Wherever’ singer is planning to spend Christmas in Dubai, but without her children. Now the kids have already traveled to Barcelona to reunite with their father and spend the holiday with their grandparents, Joan Piqué and Montserrat Bernabeu. Currently, it is unknown if this agreement will also mean that Milan and Sasha will spend the New Year with their father or not. On top of that, Pique wants a permanent solution regarding the custody of their kids.
A few weeks ago, journalist Jordi Martin revealed that the Spaniard is sending strong requests to the Barranquilla native to get more time with his kids. He finds it difficult to have some quality time with Milan and Sasha, as they live miles apart. The journalist said, “Pique and Shakira are having problems because of their children’s school holidays.”
He added, “In addition to the fact that they cannot agree to sell the house they have together in Barcelona.” Indeed, the custodial rights of their children are not the only problem existing between the former couple.
