Gerard Pique’s ex Shakira heads off to Barcelona to meet lawyers to resolve mᴀssive tax evasion case: Reports

Shakira is on the move again. The pop star recently rocked London with her electrifying performances and is heading to Barcelona to face her legal troubles. She is accused of evading taxes in Spain and will meet with her lawyers to discuss the case.

Shakira arrived in Spain on a private jet with her brother, Tonino. They landed at the El Prat airport in Barcelona. The duo set off to the former home of Shakira and Gerard Pique, located at Esplugues de Llobregat.

Shakira was booked for evading tax during the years 2012-2014. Spanish tax agents claim Shakira did not pay her taxes worth 14.5 million when she lived with Pique. According to her, she did not think she was eligible for Spanish Taxation as she was a resident of the Bahamas during the time.

Once realizing the error, Shakira had already paid 14.5 million to the authorities. Despite this, the case goes on trial. Thus, Shakira sought legal counsel through lawyer Pau Molins and was back in Barcelona to meet the attorney to discuss further action.

Sasha and Milan Pique have been watched under the media eye ever since the ugly split between their parents- Shakira and Pique. The custody of the duo was an affair closely followed by the media. Shakira got the boys to live with her but had to send them on vacations with their dad, Pique.

According to this agreement, the kids were supposed to spend 66% of their vacation with their father. The remaining 34% was allotted to Shakira. Now this agreement has been modified. Both Shakira and Pique will get 15 days of custody of their children.

This is an equitable agreement between the parents. Another clause is Clara Chia Marti, Pique’s girlfriend, is not allowed to meet the kids as she does not want her anywhere near the kids. The kids are in Barcelona till the 19th of July with their father.
