Kendall Jenner breaks the Kardashian tradition of driving gaudy vehicles as she cruises around in ‘new’ vintage car

Kendall Jenner was recently pictured behind the wheel of a vintage, 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 through the streets of sunny Los Angeles.

While her half-sister, Kim Kardashian, is typically seen driving around in more gaudy vehicles like her $96,390 Cybertruck and 2024 Rolls-Royce Ghost, which starts at $354,750, the supermodel, 28, looked at ease in her more low-profile car.

Her SUV, which is know to be a very reliable automobile, was purchased from Brian Corsetti’s company, Corsetti Cruisers, a California-based shop that specializes in restoring vintage Toyota Land Cruisers.

Corsetti, 44, confirmed to DailyMail.com that his company built the car for Jenner.

‘She knows way more about cars than anyone thinks. She’s not just a collector. She’s a true gear head with style,’ he said of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum.

As for her car, Corsetti said ‘everything was meticulously restored to turn this classic SUV into a modern daily driver with better power, better handling, better gas mileage and boosted technology.’

He noted that he designed it to give ‘her the coolest driving experience that she loves about cars.’

Overall, Corsetti described Jenner as a ‘super cool chick to work with.’

Her new whip comes with a 500 horsepower souped up LS3 conversion and 6L80 automatic transmission as well as custom relicate leather interior, stage three restoration with a full windows out paint job, keyless entry, reverse cameras, 6 speaker system with a 10″ subwoofer and automatic windows and locks.

Corsetti, who grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, previously worked as television host in the FOX Sports show The Great Ride.

While appearing on the Emmy-winning series, Jay Leno’s Garage, he spoke about launching Corsetti Cruisers in 2019 and pᴀssion for restoring Toyota Land Cruisers.

Last month, the 818 Tequila founder ‘liked’ a video of a 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 on Corsetti Cruisers’ Instagram account.

The footage showed every angle of the beige four-door wagon, which was restored four years ago and has racing stripes down the sides.

Jenner, whose extensive car collection is estimated to be worth around $2.3 million, previously told CNN Style that buying vintage cars is her ‘weird addiction.’

‘Some people get addicted to tattoos, I’m addicted to cars,’ she admitted back in 2017. ‘If I love it, I love it. If I walk in and it really gets to me, I’m like okay, I need that car.’

The Vogue cover girl explained that it is ‘kind of an LA thing to love cars because all you want to do is drive when you’re younger.’

As for how her obsession with cars started, Jenner said she ‘was raised to be a tomboy’ by her father, Caitlyn Jenner.

‘My dad raised me to love stuff like this. I was always into dirt bikes, four-wheelers. I don’t know, I’ve just always been into it,’ she recalled.

Additionally, she has acquired a ‘tiny collection’ at her house, which includes a ’56 Corvette, the Mustang and a Rolls-Royce, gifted to her by a stranger on her 21st birthday.

The reality star also reflected on how ‘every car that’ she gets into changes her mood in a different way.

‘Like my Corvette, even though it technically is a muscle car, it’s a ’50s car, so it doesn’t feel as muscular, and I feel very girly in it, and I feel I have to dress a certain way, like wear very winged sunglᴀsses,’ she mused.

Other cars in her collection just make her ‘feel cool.’ Another standouts in her collection include an incredibly rare Mercedes-Benz G500 Cabriolet, which retails for an average of $280K USD, and a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado, which is estimated to be worth about $220K, according to The Sun.

Over the years, she’s also been seen driving a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette, worth an estimated $130K.

The star also owns a $356K Rolls-Royce Dawn, the hybrid Ferrari SF90 Stradale, worth $250K, a Lamborghini Urus – which retails for $260K.

She famously learned how to drift in her Rolls-Royce, which she revealed in a post on her Instagram in 2019.

Other cars she owns or has owned include a Land Rover Defender 110, worth $114K and a Range Rover, worth $95K.

Jenner’s first car was a 2012 Range Rover, which was a gift from her parents on her 16th birthday.

Despite already receiving the vehicle, she failed her driving test, twice, as a teen for forgetting to use her blinker.

After more than a decade with her license, she has become a pro on the road and can even drive stick.
