Kendall Jenner says KUWTK fame made it ‘harder’ for her to become a famous model

Kendall Jenner claims that her Keeping Up With The Kardashians fame actually made it ‘harder’ for her to become a supermodel.

The 25-year-old television star, who grew up on the reality show alongside the Kar-Jenner family, attempted to discredit claims that she had an advantage when it came to her modelling work

Speaking on the latest installment of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians finale, Kendall maintained that she worked incredibly hard to get to where she was in her career.

While she acknowledges that she never took her platform for granted, the model also added that it was sometimes detrimental as people didn’t want to cast her.

During the recent reunion special, Kendall explained that she had achieved all of her success off the back of her own hard work.

“In the topic of offensiveness to some of the things people ᴀssume about our family, I think everyone around me, whether friends or family, knows how hard I worked and still work,” Kendall explained.

“I did everything that I was supposed to do and had to do to get to the position I’m at now as a model. I went to every single casting, ran all over not only New York City but all over Europe trying to get a job and make my way.”

Kendall, who was the highest-paid model in the world in 2018, said that her reality fame made it harder because some casting agents didn’t want to cast her.

“Of course I had a platform, I never took that for granted,” she added.

“I always knew that was there, but that almost made my job a little bit harder only because people probably didn’t want to hire me because I was on a reality TV show. I definitely worked my way to where I am now,” Kendall said.
