Kendall Jenner Won the Most Dramatic Brow Transformation at the Met Gala
The Met Gala is never a time to play it safe. Whether it’s through bold fashion choices, or a unique glam direction for the night, stars in attendance are expected to bring their most dazzling—and daring—ideas to the step and repeat. It’s all about creating a fantasy and stepping outside of your everyday look. Someone who took this spirit to heart at the 2022 Met Gala? That would be supermodel Kendall Jenner, who won the most dramatic brow transformation of the evening.
Forgoing her signature brown color, Jenner opted for bleached brows that instantly skewed her look more avant-garde and editorial. (It’s a move that’s very runway: Gigi and Bella Hadid both recently did it for the fall 2022 Versace show, too.) It wasn’t the only dye job Jenner pulled off for the occasion: Having recently dyed her hair a cool shade of auburn, Jenner’s tresses also seemed to be subtly changed to a darker brown shade.
Fashion-wise, meanwhile, Jenner wore a custom black tulle Prada top with a net embroidered overlay. She paired it with a voluminous black silk-satin skirt with hand-pleated ruched details. Last year, Jenner wore a ɴuᴅᴇ Givenchy dress trimmed with dazzling crystals; It took over 2,500 hours and 30 different beaders to complete. Another one of the model’s most memorable Met Gala moments came in 2019, for the camp theme, when she hit the red carpet in a custom Versace ensemble complete with bright-orange plumage.
While her look this evening was decidedly more subdued, it was those graphic brows that truly stole the show in a risk-taking beauty moment that proved Jenner is down for taking the plunge.
