Kendall Jenner is spicing things up — literally. The model was snapped after the 2022 CFDA Awards in New York City wearing a chili pepper print minidress that really turned up the heat.
The dress in question is a vintage Dolce & Gabbana design from 2000. It’s a form-fitting black satin style with a square neckline and wide straps, covered in bright red chili peppers with equally vibrant stems. The dress was a true mini style, hitting mid-thigh on the 5’10” model. She paired it with knee-high deep red patent leather boots with a kitten heel and a vintage-inspired top-handle bag, plus undone waves and a glimmering copper eye for a warm, easygoing chic vibe that was 100% pure Kendall Jenner
The pepper print is a common motif for the Italian fashion brand, one they’ve revisited many times throughout their collections from the 2000s to today. Kendall and her family have been all about the Dolce & Gabbana life as of late, especially after the brand decked the whole fam out in their archival designs for the totally not sponsored Kravis wedding earlier this year. (ICYMI, they were given complete access to the Dolce archives, with Kylie choosing a floral print dress that reportedly cost more than $10,000.)
The wedding felt like it was sponsored partly by the controversial and problematic fashion brand, though the brand denied it. Regardless of potential sponsorship, the family has continued to wear their designs long after Kravis’s “I dos.” (Kim even designed a collection with the brand.)
That said, Kendall does love rocking vintage pieces from all sources. Over the summer, she made a splash (pun intended) in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier ʙικιɴι and matching sheer dress. Her collection also includes pieces from Prada and Givenchy. While Kendall is typically known for her jeans-and-a-T-shirt casual style, we love seeing her incorporate elements of vintage and throwback pieces into her wardrobe.
