Why Kendall Jenner Decided to Stop Dating Bad Bunny After Getting ‘More Serious’

The former couple remains friendly but quietly ended things in the summer.

Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny rekindled their romance earlier this year, but their renewed flame died out in the summer. A source gave Us Weekly an update on Jenner’s love life, explaining why the newly blonde model is single despite her recent appearance with another ex, Devin Booker.

She and Booker have indeed been “hanging out,” the source said, but Jenner isn’t trying to date anyone seriously. “She wants to stay single for now,” they said. “Kendall isn’t ready to be tied down at the moment and is enjoying this era.”

As for her relationship with Bunny, the source explained that they remain on good terms. “They’re still friendly but have taken a step back and aren’t dating,” that insider shared. “[They] were more serious after their short break, but it ultimately didn’t work out long term.” Jenner was the one to call it, as she “decided she wanted space.” Bunny is now back on the dating app Raya, the outlet confirmed.

Jenner spoke to Vogue in May about how 2024 has been a hard year for her. “I don’t see why I shouldn’t be honest about it,” she said. “In my career right now I feel really stable, really hopeful. But I’ve had a tough two months. I haven’t been myself, and my friends see it. I’m more sad than usual. I’m way more anxious than usual. So I’m not going to sit here and act like everything’s perfect. That’s life—I’m always going to be in and out of those feelings. In past interviews, when someone’s asked me about my mental state, it’s always been, ‘I’m great right now, but this is what I’ve dealt with.’ Well, right now I’m actually in it.”
