BALENCIAG-NAH Kim Kardashian shows off pin thin legs in leggings at Balenciaga event in LA – but fans call out ‘disgusting’ behavior

KIM Kardashian has shared her personal reflections on a recent Balenciaga fashion show in Los Angeles.

However, fans of the Kardashians star were saddened to see her continued support of the brand, in light of their past controversies.

Kim shared a series of pH๏τos from the luxury fashion house’s most recent runway show. She captioned the carousel: “When @balenciaga came to Cali.”

The 43-year-old has modeled for the fashion brand in the past. Earlier this month, she attended their big fall rollout – and she did so in style.

Kim had a black jacket on covering a tan turtleneck. Her tight lace pants, which stretched all the way to and over her feet, showed off her pencil-thin legs.

BLASTING BALENCIAGA

But fans were wishing Kim could go back in time to avoid promoting Balenciaga altogether. The Spanish brand came under fire last year for a marketing campaign that showcased kids holding teddy bear bags decked out in bondage gear.

Even more shockingly, one pH๏τoshoot revealed paperwork from a US law battle over child pornography hidden beneath a black bag.

After flaunting her most recent Balenciaga look, fans flooded the comments to condemn her. “So we’re just gonna forget the whole scandal?” one person commented, as another asked: “You’ve got kids and you support them? Smh.”

A third person slammed: “From civil rights advocacy to this. Disappointing.” “This is what it looks like when you have sold your soul for money,” a fourth commented. One pointed out: “She’s wearing glᴀsses to show how blind she is to abuse.”

PR NIGHTMARE

Kim had been the face of Balenciaga for nearly a year before the controversy erupted, turning up at Paris Fashion week wearing one of the company’s most outlandish designs, a catsuit made of yellow Balenciaga-branded tape which left her barely able to walk.

But that was nothing compared to the fashion line’s Christmas campaign for its teddy handbag, featuring young kids with bears that were dressed in what appeared to be S&M-style harnesses with chains and chokers.

The ads were vilified on social media and the company was quick to issue an apology, saying it condemned child abuse in any form. However, the damage had been done.

James Herring, an expert in consumer brands and PR, and co-founder of the agency Taylor Herring, said the firm would lose customers.

“You would expect that a huge luxury brand like Balenciaga would have the appropriate checks and balances, with its different agencies and territories around the world to make sure something like this absolutely does not happen.”

He continued: “They have tried to push boundaries and provoke outrage and convention, that’s a strong part of their brand, but it seems desperate that anyone would go to these extremes.

“It might be Balenciaga hallmark to defy convention, but on this occasion they have gone beyond the limits of taste and decency. “There’s nothing to be gained by this ad campaign.”
