Britney Spears admits she is ‘SHOCKED’ her marriage to Sam Asghari is over but says she ‘couldn’t take the pain anymore’ as she addresses split for FIRST TIME in latest dance video

Britney Spears has broken her silence over her split from Sam Asghari for the first time. 

While addressing the end of their 14-month marriage, the 41-year-old pop star revealed to her more than 42.1 Instagram followers that she is ‘a little shocked.’

‘I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly!!!’ she captioned a video of herself dancing in her living room. ‘In some sort of telepathic way, I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you!!!’

She continued: ‘I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that!!!’

The mother-of-two went on to admit that she ‘would love to show’ her ’emotions and tears’ online, but always feels the need to ‘hide’ her ‘weaknesses.’

‘If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors!!!’ she admitted. ‘But that’s when I needed family the most!!!’

While appearing to stay optimistic, the Grammy winner reminded fans that ‘you’re supposed to be loved unconditionally’ and that she’s going to be ‘as strong as’ she can.

‘And I’m actually doing pretty d**n good!!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile!!!’ she concluded.

In the footage, uploaded to her account on Friday night, the performer appeared in high spirits as she smiled and twirled around in a tiny black crop top and a pair of low-rise neon green ʙικιɴι bottoms.

Over the years, the star has talked about how sharing videos of herself dancing has been a source of ‘healing’ after being freed from her conservatorship. Last year, she told her followers that she ‘recorded 30 videos of’ dancing on vacation in Maui.

‘That’s fun to me!!!’ she explained. I know I’m not the best dancer, a lot of people make fun of the way I move but honestly as long as I’m moving and expressing my body outwardly in someway at this point … that’s healing to me!!!’ she added.

Her post comes after claims that Britney got physical with Sam several times during their relationship and, once, allegedly gave him a black eye as he slept.

Asghari reportedly told friends that the pop princess would attack him during their seven years together, sources told TMZ, adding there were numerous fights where security had to step in between the pair.

She has yet to address the allegations. Britney’s camp has not responded to these claims, which DailyMail.com has reached out to on several occasions.

Her latest update comes after DailyMail.com learned that she is refusing to let ex claim custody of their two dogs in their bitter divorce battle.

In Asghari’s divorce filing, he is requesting that the singer be made to pay spousal support, and cover his legal fees and court costs, while also asking for ‘separate ᴀssets’ and ‘various items’ – which Britney fears could include the two adopted dogs he gave her, a source close to the popstar has now revealed.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, the Spears family insider revealed that Britney, who has hired the famously ferocious Hollywood divorce attorney Laura Wᴀsser, is confident that her team will be able to shut down any claim Sam might make to her wealth – but she is gravely concerned that her beloved pups could be at greater risk.

The former currently share two dogs: a Doberman named Porsha, which Sam gave to Britney in 2021, and a German Shepherd called Sawyer, which they adopted this year.

‘Regarding [Britney and Sam’s shared] property, the most difficult part of dividing any ᴀssets will be their two dogs,’ the source explained. ‘But Sam gave Porsha to Britney as a present and she was the one who wanted to adopt Sawyer when they were in Maui.’

However, the source added that there is one ‘ᴀsset’ that Britney is more than ready to hand back to her estranged spouse: her engagement ring, which the actor got for free.

When Sam proposed to Britney in September 2021, he did so with a diamond sparkler designed by jeweler Roman Malayev – which he got for free, no doubt in the hopes that his wife’s global fame would help to stir up publicity for the brand.

But the rock has now lost it’s sparkle for Britney, with the source telling DailyMail.com: ‘Sam can have that ring. It was free from the jeweler and she doesn’t want it anymore. She has enough diamonds.’

As for Britney’s current state, the insider revealed that she is being cared for by a team of friends, family members, and employees, a Maltese named Lulu and cat named Wendy – in addition to the beloved pups she got during her relationship.

‘She is not alone at all. Britney has her sister Jamie Lynn who is in and out of LA and she also has her mom Lynne, who is expected to arrive this weekend, if she has not flown in already,’ the source shared.

‘She has a support system including her agent and longtime friend [and manager] Cade [Hudson], her friends which include several of her backup dancers and her girlfriends.’

‘She has a team of ᴀssistants and her chef who are always around the houses. She also has other workers who are constantly there.’

‘This past week, Britney has been getting calls and texts from everyone she knows, including people she hasn’t spoken to in years.

‘She will get through this. She has gotten through worse and no one will allow anything to happen to her,’ the Spears family insider insists.

In Sam’s divorce document, which was filed with the LA Superior Court this past week, he stated that he was filing for divorce due to ‘irreconcilable differences.’ He checked off the boxes indicating that he wants spousal support, as well as for Britney to pay lawyers fees and court costs.

When it comes to property, the document states, ‘Peтιтioner has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property ᴀssets and obligations of each party. There are various items of community and quasi-community ᴀssets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to Peтιтioner at this time.’

However, it seems that he will miss out on his multi-million dollar spousal support request, as a huge loop hole existed in their iron-clad prenuptial agreement.

The agreement allegedly contains a section that Sam would get $1 million spousal support for every two years that they were married. Although they started dating in 2016, their marriage only lasted 14 months.

However, sources have told TMZ that while the prenup prevents Sam from receiving any spousal support, he could receive a one-off cheque from Britney to prevent him from sharing any ’embarrᴀssing information’ about their marriage.

It’s thought that the prenup features an ‘extensive confidentiality clause’  that prohibits Sam from discussing his relationship with Britney.

It’s claimed that Britney and Sam’s lawyers will negotiate, and it’s likely that the singer will write a one-off cheque for several hundred thousand dollars to keep the confidentiality clause in place.

If Sam were to violate the agreement, he would have to return the money. Sam had denied claims he’s planning to contest his $10 million prenuptial agreement with Britney.

But Sam’s representative Brandon Cohen has now denied these claims, telling The Hollywood Reporter: ‘There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos.

‘However, all these claims are false, and no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.’

In addition, it seems unlikely that Sam will take much away from his marriage to Britney, with the prenup stating that he was enтιтled to ‘$1 million per every two years’ of their marriage, with a cap at $10 million after 15 years, according to US Weekly.

Sam has also allegedly waived any claims to Britney’s music collection, and his name is not listed on the deeds of their shared home in Thousand Oaks, California.

The couple splashed out $11.8 million on the property, though a vast chunk of that came from Britney’s fortune.

According to the prenup, Britney and Sam agreed to put the house into a limited liability company or LLC in the event of a divorce.

Since she and Sam tied the knot, Britney has added to her fortune by signing a $15 million deal with publishing house Simon & Schuster for a tell-all memoir тιтled The Woman In Me.

The star also returned to music by releasing two new singles, a new version of Tiny Dancer with Elton John, and Mind Your Business with will.i.am.

Britney also signed an underlying rights agreement for the jukebox music Once Upon a One More Time, meaning she can receive income from tickets sales along with touring and licencing.

It’s currently unclear whether the prenup states whether Sam is enтιтled to any money made after they married.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that Sam had suspected the Grammy-winning singer had cheated on him with a staffer at the Southern California home they shared, and that video footage sH๏τ on the property implicates Britney in being unfaithful.

Sam was suspicious that Britney – described as being in ‘a fragile and hyper-Sєxualized state’ – had also asked a staffer to film her while she was naked.

It’s unclear if the staffer she allegedly asked to film her is also the same person she is reported to have cheated with.

Britney’s alleged behavior was described by a source to the outlet as risky ‘to her own safety;’ and that her infidelity was what persuaded Sam to move forward in his divorce filing.
