Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian star in creepy spider-infested scene on latest poster for American Horror Story: Delicate
Hulu has released another promotional poster for the upcoming new installment of American Horror Story.
Starring Emma Roberts, 32, and Kim Kardashian, 42, fans were treated to a chilling image posted to Instagram and featuring Emma with a spider and web dripping from her mouth.
Kim, decked out in eyelashes resembling spider legs, stared up at Roberts with a glossy, blood red pout. Along with their names across the top of the poster, the bottom ledger read, ‘AHS: Delicate — 9.20 FX.’
Hulu’s caption to its 1.8 million followers teased, ‘Their bite is ᴅᴇᴀᴅly. AHS: Delicate Part One premieres 9.20 on FX. Stream on @hulu. #AHSDelicate #AHSFX.’
The upload has so far collected over 112,000 likes from eager fans awaiting the new season. Another recent advert showed Kardashian in character as Siobhan Walsh, rocking a plunging black bodysuit and matching latex gloves.
Hulu posted the outtake with the caption: ‘Screaming, crying, already terrified. Can’t wait to see Kim Kardashian in #AHSDelicate, Part One premieres September @fxnetworks.’
FX previously released a sH๏τ of the star with a giant black widow spider attached to her torso, with its spindly legs wrapped around her body.
The 13th season of the FX horror anthology series premieres on September 20 and is adapted from the horror novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine.
The plot follows Anna (Roberts), an actress who has had multiple IVF treatments and begins to become paranoid that mysterious forces are keeping her from getting pregnant.
She eventually does conceive a child, but the pregnancy ends in what doctors tell her is miscarriage. However, she can still feel her baby growing as her body continues to show signs of a pregnancy.
‘It is essentially a horror novel about pregnancy,’ Valentine shared with Entertainment Weekly.
In April Kardashian dropped the surprise news that she would be starring in Delicate on her Instagram page as she posted a trailer from the season.
It had eerie music with the words: ‘AHS12. Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate. This summer.’
Kim simply captioned the short clip with eyes and a drop of blood emoji.
The season was written by Halley Feiffer, who also served as showrunner. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy said: ‘Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.’
