Fans Get ‘Chills’ After Hearing Miley Cyrus’ ‘Raw’ Journey Cover

Cyrus put her own soulful spin on a classic song.

Miley Cyrus celebrated her 31st birthday on Nov. 23 with a gift for herself and for her fans, as the singer stunned people with her soulful cover of Journey’s song “Faithfully.”

Cyrus posted a video of the full cover on TikTok, with the 31-year-old singing with piano accompaniment as a rapt audience listened and cheered. She added the short and to-the-point caption, “31 🖤.” “Faithfully” was originally released in 1983 as a single for Journey’s album Frontiers.

On Instagram, Cyrus also shared the cover alongside a pᴀssionate performance of her hit song “Flowers” and a few pH๏τos from the night. She wrote in the capton, “My birthday gift to MYSELF this year was VERY on brand. I performed for MYSELF and sang my favorite songs including my own.”

Fans piled on the praise for Cyrus in the comments on social media, with many saying that her voice has only improved as she’s gotten old.
