Fans roast Sam Smith’s ‘baggy’ outfit at ‘Barbie’ premiere: ‘Where’s the fantasy?’

Fans trolled Sam Smith over their “baggy” outfit for the “Barbie” premiere in London.

The “Unholy” singer — who is non-binary and uses gender-neutral pronouns — made a fashion statement on the pink carpet Wednesday, wearing an oversized blue sweatshirt and wide-legged jeans from the Vetements spring-summer 2024 collection.

While Smith — who will be featured on the film’s soundtrack — looked cozy from head to toe, fans couldn’t help but notice that the ensemble was a huge change from their typical red carpet slays.

“The one time they most had the opportunity to show all the way out and they opted for this instead,” tweeted one critic.

“[They] picked the #Barbie premiere to wear normal clothes!??!?!” added another. “That’s possibly the worst outfit I’ve ever seen,” wrote a third person.

A fourth user said Smith went from wearing “not enough clothes to too much clothes.”

“Stop it Sam! Enough with the atrociousness. Serve some lewks (sic) now please  ,” commented one person on Check the Tag’s Instagram while another said, “Where’s the Barbie fantasy? This is not a Kanye West movie” and a third called the oversized outfit a “waste of material.”

While the “I’m Not the Only One” crooner didn’t get rave reviews about his outfit, the film’s star, Margot Robbie, hit the pink carpet Wednesday, paying tribute to the Barbie Enchanted Evening 1960 Fashion Doll ($39) in her most jaw-dropping look to date.
