Fifty Shades of Tay: Every Time Swift Was Way Too Hot to Handle

Even though the singer didn’t release a new album in 2016, she did keep pushing the envelope

Yes, Taylor Swift may have single-handedly made staying in wearing pajamas with your cats cool, but that is neither here nor there when we’re discussing her latest musical project, the steamy new duet she just dropped with Zayn Malik for Fifty Shades Darker.

Before we make any Fifty Shades of Tay references — whoops, too late — let’s look back at all the times Swift was the literal embodiment of the fire emoji.

Basically every moment of her 2014 “Blank Space” video, but especially when she bit into that apple and made us rethink what kind of faces we make when we eat fruit.

Don’t say she didn’t, say she didn’t warn you.

In July 2015, she showed the world her belly ʙuттon, and, believe it or not, the internet exploded into a zillion little pieces.

We’re clutching our pearls just remembering this.

This video had everything: Girl power. Red hair. Models using weapons. Post-apocalyptic vibes. Kendrick Lamar.

She sang at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2014 (for the second time) in her Sєxiest outfit to date.

Were we ever so young?

When she performed a Sєxy, ʙuтт-slapping dance with Haim and Nelly to “Hot in Herre” during her 1989 tour.

We still need to teach ourselves this choreography, but we fear it’s too intricate.

And 2016 might be her ~Sєxiest~, most badᴀss year yet.

She cut her hair again (and dyed it platinum at one point), and she made us want to wear dark lipstick all the time after the Met Gala in May.

And we’re still not ready to talk about her heels.

She made an appearance on then-boyfriend Calvin Harris’ Instagram account looking like a swimsuit model.

After Swift attended Drake’s birthday party in late October, rumors of a possible music collaboration (and romance) cropped up. The day after, the rapper only fueled the fire by posting a pH๏τo of himself with Swift at his bash. (Swift liked the pH๏τo almost immediately.)

Finally, let’s talk about the Sєxy single she just dropped with Zayn, the boyfriend of her BFF Gigi Hadid.

The steamy single, which will be featured on the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, was written by Swift, Jack Antonoff (who also produced the track) and Sam Dew specifically for the film.

We can’t wait to see how Taylor pushes the envelope in 2017 … face tattoo maybe?
