George Floyd’s family threaten to SUE Kanye West for saying he died of fentanyl overdose during podcast where rapper also implied Kris Jenner, 66, had Sєx with Drake, 35

George Floyd’s family is considering suing Kanye West after the rapper claimed Floyd was killed by a fentanyl overdose instead of police brutality.

The potential lawsuit was announced on Sunday in a tweet by civil rights activist and attorney Lee Merritt, who said West’s comments about Floyd’s cause of death undermined his family.

He conceded that it is impossible to defame the ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, but hinted that the Floyds were still considering action against West over the slur against George, who was murdered by Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin in May 2020.

Merritt tweeted: ‘While one cannot defame the ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, the family of #GeorgeFloyd is considering suit for Kanye’s false statements about the manner of his death,’ he wrote.

‘Claiming Floyd died from fentanyl not the brutality established criminally and civilly undermines & diminishes the Floyd family’s fight.’

West made the wild claim during an appearance on Revolt TV’s Drinks Champs podcast, and would later in the episode imply Kris Jenner, 66, had Sєx with Drake, 33, and say ‘Jewish media’ censored an interview of his.

In other parts of the chat, West said ‘Jewish people control the black voice’ and sarcastically stated the ‘Jewish media’ would cancel one of the hosts for saying: ‘F**k Black Lives Matter.’

West, 45, has faced criticism in recent weeks for his bizarre behavior, including introducing a series of shirts branded with ‘White Lives Matter,’ and a number of eyebrow-raising comments that have been widely regarded as anti-Semitic.

West made the claim about Floyd’s death while giving a glowing review of the Candace Owens documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.

‘They hit [Floyd] with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,’ West said. ‘They said he screamed for his mama; mama was his girlfriend. It’s in the documentary.’

Bizarrely, West goes on to say that Floyd’s death made him think of his ‘friend’ Virgil Abloh, the fashion designer who pᴀssed away in November 2021 at 41 following a short battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare, aggressive form of cancer.

Dr. Andrew Baker, Hennepin County’s chief medical examiner, said Floyd died after police ‘subdual, restraint and neck compression’ caused his heart and lungs to stop. He said heart disease and drug use were factors but not the ‘top line’ causes.
