The main reason for that would be the fact that they were soccer’s power couple. Pique was a player for Barcelona, one of the biggest clubs in the entire world. He didn’t hold back even after that, Martin has claimed that Pique cheated in 2012 and 2016 with his ex, and even quite recently. Initially many believed that it was Clara Chia’s relationship that led to Pique’s split with Shakira. However, Martin claims that even the Colombian singer was unaware of the fact that Pique cheated so many times.

Shakira met the 2010 World Cup winner that year when she was filming for the “Waka Waka” video song. They hit it off instantly and it appears that they started dating right away.
