Shakira showed off her incredible flexibility as she rehearsed for her performance at next week’s MTV VMAs – where she will be honoured with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award.

The Columbian songstress, 46, shared a slew of behind the scenes snaps to her Instagram including one where she posed with her legs behind her head.

Shakira slipped into skin-tight black work out gear, along with with knee pads, for the session as she practiced her moves in a large dance studio.

The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker could be seen writhing on the floor in numerous positions before grabbing a silver guitar and taking to the mic.

She captioned the post: ‘Guess which song this pose is from? Can’t wait for Tuesday!’.

As well as performing at the show and is up for four Moon Person trophies: Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration for TQG with Karol G as well as Best Latin song for both TQG and Acróstico.

The 2023 VMAs will air live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on September 12.

Past winners of the Video Vanguard Award include David Bowie, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez and Pink.
